Free Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Event to take place
Clare County Council has secured funding from the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications under the Anti-Dumping Initiative to run a Household Hazardous Waste Amnesty, where the public are invited to dispose of hazardous household waste free of charge by bringing it to the Central Waste Management Facility, Inagh.
Similar days were run in 2020 and 2021, and yielded a huge response from the public. Such an event was not held in 2022, but it was decided to hold another day this year.
Household chemicals listed in the poster below will be accepted from on the day and include:
- Adhesives
- Aerosols
- Antifreeze
- Batteries (household, car & fence)
- Herbicides
- Household detergents
- Medicinal waste (human only)
- Mixed fuels
- Oil (cooking & engine)
- Oil filters
- Paints & varnishes
- Pesticides
Waste from commercial operators will not be accepted.
The event takes place on Saturday 14th October from 8.30am to 12.30pm at the Central Waste Management Recycling Facility, Ballyduf Beg, Inagh, County Clare.
